Fariba Bogzaran, visionary, professor, and artist,
founder of the dream studies program at JFKU is one of the pioneers
in the field of dream studies. As an artist and innovative curator,
she has been exhibiting her work since 1983 and curating exhibitions
inquiring into dreams, arts and consciousness since 1985.

In the 1980's, she researched the science of lucid dreaming
with Stephen LaBerge for Lucidity Project at Stanford Sleep Laboratory
and has been researching the transpersonal aspect of lucid dreaming for over
twenty years. Her creative and integral approach to dreams is informed by her in-depth training in East-West and somatic Psychology, contemplative practices and the arts.

Dr. Bogzaran has received recognition of outstanding contribution to the International Association for the Study of Dreams and Professor of the Year from Graduate School for Holistic Studies, John F. Kennedy University.
She has trained students and professionals in innovative methods of dream awareness internationally since 1984 and does integrative and creative research projects on Lucid dreaming, arts and consciousness.  She collaborated with the Surrealist painter Gordon Onslow Ford for over twelve years and has written extensively about his work.  Based on their on-going dialogue on art, science and consciousness, and with their associate Robert Anthoine, they founded the Lucid Art Foundation.
